| Zontain: Finally keep in mind the engine for bfp was modified from quake and that team was under heavy stress, they're game got leaked they ran into copyright problems, they deserve respect for what they did do. I know it's no ps2 dbz title but bfp was first made by a group of people who after all that had to be really stressed i respect their original work and i hope you look up the problems and change your mind about the games meele. Cause frankly when i played it it was the best dbz game ever and now we're improving upon the original. But i urge that you find respect for the current gameplay, if i could put you back to the original bfp you'd be typing this response out as well! |

e. In the meantime try to get used to the current system, we didn't make it and we can't change it yet. Sorry this isn't b3 or iw we're trying and iv'e heard this complaint since 2001 all the way back at original bfp. We want to make better gameplay and we will but as of now we can't. |

Sometimes it just seems as if people just come here to post problems though which yes the forum is mainly for that and that's fine yet we do strive to be a regular forum as well. Many people use forums as a hobby and way to connect with friends after all. |

Not too long ago I made a post here expressing my amazement in that after 6 or 7 years the Bid For Power Project was back in FULL Force...
When the very 1st Bid For Power Team released their RC versions and then the official versions (I think the last one I had was BFP 1.2), I started working on my own private project to make a more inclusive DBZ BFP game for me and a few friends...
I started with absolutely no experience in skinning, modeling, maps, texture modificati
on, I had an idea of what the concept was, but that's about it...
I learned a lot very quickly and began to put together my own collage of DBZ BFP content, then began to modify it to my own satisfacti
on. I wanted to pick up the torch and run with it and eventually unleash it onto an unexpected world so that everyone could have as much fun with it as I did.
After a while it became more of an obsession than a hobby really. I had been working completely alone on this, so It was very difficult, but I had fun with figuring things out. After all I am a huge DBZ fan.
Life gets a little complicate
d sometimes and things tend to get put aside and priorities change. So i never finished a fully polished version of my work, and it just kinda set around for a long time.
Then not a month or so ago... I found this website just randomly browsing through the internet, and was completely blown away.
Not only did the team pick up the torch and run with it... but they reinvented the torch, and spread it to every far reach of the galaxy. :P

My Goals and Intentions now are to offer my modified content to the team to use for ideas, perhaps in some instances influence positive changes to the project for the greater good of us all.

Its like you guys picked up RIGHT where i had left off... i had been folling BFP since its very first beta release - before they even had a serious dedicated website to get it from - you could only get it bootleg from some foregn website somewhere. the people who own DBZ put a damper in the originater
s plans and they had to change the content to some hokey crap BFP. but there was already soooooo much DBZ content already out there jsut all spread arround. I spent a good 6-12 months searching and compiling every peice of dbz bfp content i could get ahold of. it was a little difficult to peice everything together and sort out all the crap that wasnt going to cut it.
I took all the characters there where out there and put them together and the ones that sucked or werent made yet, i skined, remodeled and recompiled brand new characters that others have failed to make.... then i worked on all the animations
, then all the texturing for all the attacks, auras, SSJ2 lightning effects, transforma
tions and making the characters bulk up when they transforme
d. and games settings as well.. i made new crosshairs with multiple colors to use. I was planning at one point to do the exact same thing you guys did, but i didnt have the time... lots of work.... only one me. but for one person i did a HELL of a lot... I had shown a couple friends who thought i was awesome for peicing everything together like i did. and i made the game fun i had almost like 70 characters

You guys did a kick ass job one-upping me... I think it kicks ass.. | Bax21: hehe thx :D for full screen go to your dragonball ultimate folder and open data.then open mugen.cfg and scrool down until you find . there scrool a little bit down and you should see DXmode = windowed. change it to hardware and save. if you start dragonball ultimate you will have it in full screen! and yes there will be more chars. and now some info about part 2 :P go to website and read a full story mode ! ( btw its not final so it might get changed ! |
